It is observed that in most resorts and hotels in tourist areas, a buffet breakfast and dinner is available and tourists can eat whatever they can, after paying a fixed fee. During the day, most of the tourists are out of the hotel, usually sight seeing in the town or city, so no buffet lunch is provided.

The cottage retreat will usually have a restaurant attached, and guests can order anything they wish from the menu. usually there is a separate vegetarian and non vegetarian facility

However it is observed that ordering individual items can be fairly expensive compared to the buffet menu, where a large number of items are available, with unlimited helpings.Room service is also available , though there may be some additional charges. It is usually uncomfortable to eat in a cottage
